In Loving Memory of Jenny Fry –
Marking Ten Years Since Her Passing in June 2015

June 2025 marks ten years since the tragic passing of Jenny Fry, a bright, caring, and intelligent 15-year-old schoolgirl from Oxfordshire, whose story continues to touch hearts and inspire action across the world.

On June 11th, 2015, Jenny ended her life in nearby woodland after years of suffering from symptoms her family linked to exposure to wireless radiation particularly Wi-Fi at school. Jenny experienced chronic fatigue, headaches, cognitive problems, and other debilitating effects commonly associated with Electrohypersensitivity (EHS). Despite repeated pleas for support, her condition was neither recognised nor accommodated by her school or by the authorities responsible for her wellbeing.

Jenny tried her best to cope. She sought out classrooms without Wi-Fi, worked alone when she could, and longed for a safe learning environment. Her mother, Debra Fry, repeatedly raised concerns, but her calls for precaution and protection were dismissed. Jenny was left feeling isolated, powerless, and unheard.

One of her final diary entries captured the depth of her despair:

“I have no hope for humanity… I’m insignificant, an insignificant number on someone’s screen.”

đź’”Jenny was never insignificant. Her life mattered and still matters deeply to all who have come to know her story. Her death became a devastating wake-up call, and in the years since, her mother Debra has bravely turned grief into purpose campaigning tirelessly to raise awareness of EHS, highlight the dangers of unchecked wireless exposure, and push for safer environments, particularly in schools, nurseries, and hospitals.

The EM Radiation Research Trust wishes to honour Jenny’s life and highlight her story as a powerful reminder that wireless technology is not risk-free and that children, the most vulnerable among us, deserve urgent protection. Jenny’s case is not isolated. Increasing numbers of children are reporting symptoms linked to EMF exposure, and the need for recognition, research, and responsibility has never been more urgent.

In 2022, a major legal breakthrough in the UK saw a child with EHS formally recognised as disabled under the Equality Act, requiring a bespoke Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP). This landmark ruling sets a vital precedent and reinforces what Jenny’s family has long known: that EHS is real, and that denying it has serious consequences.

As we mark this 10th anniversary, we honour Jenny’s memory her life, her suffering, and her call on all of us to act:

🕊️ Listen to those who are suffering
🕊️ Advocate for evidence-based, precautionary health policies
🕊️ Create safe, inclusive environments
🕊️ Ensure no more children are left without protection, understanding, or hope

Jenny Fry’s light continues to shine in every step taken toward truth, justice, and safer technology.

✝️  In loving memory, Jenny.

You are remembered. You are missed. And your legacy lives on.
